I am a big fan of the Dave Stevens comic, The Rocketeer, and also like the Disney film although I wish it was produced by another studio so that it could have remained more accurate to the comic.
During 2020 I was invited to participate in the Gallery 1988 show ’30 Years Later (1991)’ which is to run from January 8th, 2021. I immediately thought of doing The Rocketeer for which I planned to create something in my ’80s’ style with rich texture and colour.
The piece is available as an 18×24 inch original and also a very limited edition of 9×12 inch prints that will contain the title.
